The formations grow, expand, shoot out of the ground and take off. A seed, a tuber or a plant possesses potency and power. I use a biological language of form and nature's recognisable materials and structures, which, when in large scale, suddenly appear alien and exotic. During the exhibition period, the work will breathe, mutate and transform. In the end, they dry out and fixate in their condition, like fossils.
Growths direct their energy towards the largest battery, the sun, and the work manifests itself in the park landscape. The park, itself a constructed stage, where fantasy and reality can be difficult to separate. Nature is never still, never silent. Transformation is constant and movement accentuates time.
